Mechanical Design Engineers
The Mechanical Engineer will design and test all aspects of mechanical equipment and machinery.
Duties/Responsibilites
- Designs products such as engines, machines, instruments, controls, or robots.
- Works with a design team to create design sketches, layouts, and plans.
- Uses computer-assisted design(CAD) and SolidWorks software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product.
- Produces specifications for products and chooses raw materials and components to be used in production.
- Builds models and prototypes of the product and tests the design.
- Studies the test data and makes comparisons with similar designs.

Draftsmen with Solidworks Experience
The CAD Draftsman operates Computer Aided Design (CAD) computer system, including creating, updating and modifying maps, and performs manual drafting. Solidworks proficiency is required.

CNC & Press Brake Operators
The CNC and Press Brake Operator will use a press brake to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates. They will also produce machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards set forth by Growers Custom Equipment; keeping records as directed and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, reference planes and machining parameters.
- Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.
- Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available; anticipating needed stock; requesting orders for stock.
- Measures and aligns materials to be used.Programs mills and lathes.Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing word tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

Shift Supervisors

Inventory Control Specialist
The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain the organizations inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all procurements.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.
- Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items.
- Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
- Provides inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.

Quality Control Engineer
The Quality Control Engineer will ensure that products are designed, built, and produced in accordance with customer specifications and quality requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Facilitates planning and development of quality control systems for specified products or processes.
- Collaborates with representatives from various functional groups assigned to the product or program including but not limited to design engineering, purchasing, production, manufacturing engineering, and inspection staff.
- Collaborates with teams of engineers and product specialists to ensure customer and division quality requirements are met.
- Reviews design, manufacturing, and testing documentation.
- Coordinates and performs inspections of raw materials and finished products, applying appropriate quality assurance testing models.

Ammonia Technician
Ammonia Refrigeration Technician is responsible for maintaining, operating, inspecting, and repairing various types of ammonia refrigeration equipment, air compressor system and HVAC equipment and testing and maintaining the chemical systems used in the refrigeration system and in the boiler systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform PMs and repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, vessels, valves, and other machinery included in the ammonia refrigeration equipment.
- Replacement of defective mechanical and manual valves.
- Replace defective motors.
- Remove ice buildup from evaporator drain pans, investigate the cause, and correct the problem.
- Drain oil from ammonia system.
- Fill out daily reports.
- Remove and reinstall ammonia compressors.
- Perform motor alignments by use of dial caliper indicators.
- Compressor and pump shaft seal replacements.
- Work directly with all refrigeration contractors, electricians, and pipefitters when they are working on the ammonia refrigeration system to ensure that they are following all the company safety policies, and meeting work standards. Inspect and maintain the ammonia detection system.
- Ensure that all ammonia system safeguards are always functioning properly.
- Check integrity and tolerances by the use of a micrometer.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Ability to write SOPs, pump-down procedures, LOTO procedures.
- Remove and install 3 phase motors.
- Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Other routine work such as hanging plastic and handling roof concerns as needed.
- Participate in an active role on the HAZMAT team utilizing expert knowledge of the Utilities Department.
Job Requirements
- Associate Degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical/refrigeration/utilities field in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration system is a must.
- Basic computer skills including Google Suite and L2L.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
